A short story by Sean Broadchest (702 words)
It was a dark and stormy night. Rivulets of water ran swiftly along the path, cutting jagged trenches in the softer mud. Lightning lit up the sky, followed by earth-rending cracks of thunder. Continue reading
After so many years of reading great books by great writers, I’ve finally given birth to my very first novel: Search for the Emerald Tablet. It’s a full-length adventure romance that’s as fun to read as it was to write. In fact, every time I edited the book, I found myself getting engrossed in the story! Weird or what? It took a lot of discipline to get through the four editing sessions!
As the title suggests, this is a romantic adventure story. The partnership formed by two of the most unlikely people you might expect, finds itself in a cat-and-mouse game with a ruthless artifact collector. Both are on the hunt for the same prize. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you engaged in the story. You may think you know where it’s going, but you’ll find yourself surprised. If you’re a bit squeamish about the romance part, sex is involved, although there are no explicit sex scenes. I’ve gone to great lengths to make this book as believable as possible. Almost everything in the book exists in real life, except the characters, of course. Hotels, rooms, vehicles, airline travel, distances, flight times, have all been carefully checked, with the exception of the “local hotel” in Taba.
I’m sure you will enjoy this story as much as I did!
